Introducing the Millionaires at Sea Luxury Cruise Stock Basket
July 20, 2025
If everyone hates cruising except Boomers and people who crave norovirus, why are the stocks hitting All-Time-Highs?
Royal Caribbean made the news for two reasons on Friday. First came reports that 140 people aboard $RCI's "Navigator of the Seas" cruise to Mexico had been stricken by "gastrointestinal illnesses" bad enough for the CDC to get involved. Based on the symptoms (Diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal cramps) this looks to be the latest in a long line of norovirus outbreaks in 2025. Holland America, Princess Cruises and a Cunard ship making a monthlong international voyage have all been hit this year.
Also, Royal Caribbean shares another All-Time-High and up over 30% in the last month; a timeframe painfully notable to me because 1 month ago this week I took a packed, fun, adventurous, and expensive trip on Royal Caribbean's Silverseas line (an experience I wrote about HERE). I had so much fun, I forgot to buy $RCL stock.
I'm not here to fight rising tides. Introducing the "Basic Millionaires at Sea" stock basket.
